Honestly, I think this could have been basically a duology for most part. I think Brandon Mull is a fanstastic writer and I appreciate that his books rebellon to boys and girls. You are from a place called the “Beyond” bfyonders are classified as a “Beyonder”.
I must mention a very nicely written scene, however, in which Ferrin is examining his motives for betraying Maldor and joining the rebellion.

OMG this book is epic!!! One of my favorite parts is when the heroes journey to Ebera, The Forgotten Kingdom. While on the northern side of the river, he encounters a family of giants who try to kill him. Which is the first Beyonders book? Jason knows that the shocking truth he learned from Maldor is precious information that all of his friends in Lyrian, including Rachel, need if they have any hope of surviving and defeating the evil emperor.

The writing is solid and there’s a lot o One thing I really like about Brandon Mull is that his writing is so inventive and it feels different. Something I loved about the Fablehaven series that Brandon Mull wrote was that the characters and world we Brandon Mull has created an amazing world, and some amazing races.
He does it all to perfection it creates a beautiful world with so much history, so many intricate plot developments. The story is also very much a quest, as was book one, with lots of peril and unusual creatures and races including a unique take on zombies. There is no wasted space on boring histories of the world, Lyrian just Bryonders, I think it is a great book and I can’t wait until the next book comes out. They’d be great for a fan website, but they shouldn’t weigh down the story like they do.
Also, a character who’s played the spy his whole life is trusted on conditions; this leads to many discussions about whom to trust and what makes people trust others. I do not regret my decision.

His editor for Fablehaven is not the same as for this series, and I just can’t help but think that this is the main problem. I love the plot, love the characters, love the ideas.
